Burnley boss Owen Coyle has vowed to keep Carling Cup hero Jay Rodriguez's feet firmly on the ground, by sending him back to the club's reserve team.
The 19-year-old striker netted the late winner in the 1-0 victory over Premier League Fulham at Turf Moor, before Coyle confirmed that Rodriguez will be back with the second string on Wednesday evening.
He commented: "I am going to tell him he is in the reserves tomorrow. Mind you he is a very level-headed lad.
"I am delighted Jay showed that level of composure at his age to score the winner. That is what we are trying to do at this club, to encourage young talent.
"Jay is a talent, he showed that, but it was a great pass (from Chris Eagles) in the first place.
"We believe in time he will be a real number nine. Certainly he has not done himself any harm tonight."
